Half Marathon 21KM (2)

I thought I was going to stop half way in Cernobbio. But then some forces pushed me forward. I did it. 21KM in 2 hours and 15 minutes, longest distance I have ever ran. Thanks to those who ran with me, and Gaelle for her untiring support (water).

I even bought a return ticket for the bus, in case I couldn't make it.

And I got this at the finish line.

Feliz Cumpleanos, Aldo!

Another Rape Victim in JB!

Another case happened in JB this morning.

The girl was waiting for school bus and those animals just pulled her into their vehicle and took her to technology park Johor and raped her.

Fork! I used to pass the road everyday while I was in UTM.

What do they expect us to do, stop going out and everyday stay at home!

For god's sake, may those animals hit by truck 2 minutes after i posted this.

Notte Bianca in Como

Italian has found a new excuse to party. The 'white night' was held to celebrate the start of summer, which is equal to long day and sun sets later than usual.

Fireworks at 2a.m. instead of the normal 12a.m. , spectacular released from the middle of the lake.
Duomo is alive! See the projected images on its facade. That was not the first time i saw this technology but the first time it was seen on a church..haha

The buidling next to it couldn't escape as well. Religious paintings.

The day after the Notte Bianca!

My parents are teacher, but they never ask for 100 marks from us. But I just couldn't escape from the comparison, friends, relatives, so and so's children. IN another way, I see it as motivation to keep pushing myself. Irionic right?

http://blog.yam.com/zooooker/article/9967197#trackback

Very different perspective from the author of that blog entry, thanks my parents for treating us the way they think works best for us.

And Happy Father's Day to my dad.

The other day, my friend told me this
一命二运三风水四努力

i think it's true, if you are not born with a golden spoon,
if you are having bad luck all the time,
and your house 'feng shui' is so bad,
you still can work hard up all the way.

MCA bo liao ko ai hao lian

MCA claimed today that they have helped 560 SPM chinese candidates in securing a JPA scholarship to study overseas.

Let's see how the figures work, rough estimation

Population of SPM Candidates 360,000

Chinese candidates = 0.3*360,000 = 108,000

Percentage a chinese getting the JPA scholarship = 560/108,000 = 0.52%

That is like among 200 Chinese, only 1 will get the scholarship.

Fine, scholarship is meant for the poor.

But Lorenz Curve says that 80% of the wealth is controlled by the 20% of the population, so 80% are living on average income (who can't afford to study abroad on their own)

so the average income chinese candidates = 0.8*108,000 = 86,400

Again, success rate = 560/86,400 = 0.65%

1 out of 154 of your friends will get the scholarship.

How big is your class, at most 50, that means there is only 1 people from the 3 classes will get it.

What's that to boast about? MCA?

si beh cia lat la....0.65% success rate also ceong tong kai...lei lou mei

m e l a n c h a b

This man has decided or maybe not him, to change back 'Bahasa Melayu' to Bahasa Malaysia again. Because Melayu is an idea of Anwar., and it should be the national language, for all Malaysians, not only the Malays.

Aiya...aku ingat kamu cakap semua pun betul punya lar....saya akan cakap 'Melayu atau Bahasa Malaysia' sesuka anda...

Language is for the purpose of communication, who 'else on the earth' will care what's name of the language.

Look at our neighbours, Indonesia, they don't even have time to care about this thing.

Grow up, man!

The Greeks!

My Malaysian friend who studied in Telsanoliki, Greece. He was seen posting in his lecture room. The other students are on strikes because the Greek government finally decided to charge tuition fees. Before this, it is all free and even 3 meals are provided in the canteen.

Since they are getting free meals and carefree life, the students end up studying for more years than intended and gradually eat up the government fund. Mr. Kikilapolous decided that university will no free no more!

The students got annoyed since their paradise is being taken away and decided to go on a mass strike. The whole university was on strike for 10 months already and the only class that is still going on is the one my friend attended(since they are paying the fees).

The students even demonstrated their anger on the walls and whiteboards.

Ironically, during these whole 10 months, the food supplies haven't been stopped a single day!

So, what they basically do is to come to school without having to attend lectures but still get to enjoy the free meals and start protesting after they are fed!

What a paradise!
